Query Language

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

cadmium zinc

finds documents containing 'cadmium' or 'zinc'

cadmium nickel and zinc

finds documents containing both 'cadmium nickel' and 'zinc'

cadmium not zinc

finds documents containing 'cadmium' but not 'zinc'

bar*

finds documents containing words starting with 'barken's'
